July 4th OOTD – Fireworks in a Sexy Blouse

The mosquitos have lost their damn minds! It’s as if we have skipped over spring and dove straight into the unbearably hot and sticky days of summer. Seems as though my blood always runs sweeter than honey too because I get bitten everywhere in the two minutes it takes me to get out of my car, walk to the porch, and unlock my door. I end up spending the evening trying to NOT scratch the crazy-itchy bites all over my body. Oh well!

While I stay indoors this fourth of July to avoid similar mosquito escapades, I know some of you party animals have bigger plans to enjoy the sunny weather (Read my latest post on how to protect your skin and hair for the holidays). Whether you planned a picnic so you can watch the fireworks, dancing on a boat at the lake or beach, or drinking the night away at a friend’s house, getting the attire to fit the occasion may end up being tricky. Well, I have one outfit that will be different from all those other red, white, and blue july 4th outfit ideas.

This tie top is a great option! I found it at Forever21 through their mobile app and loved it’s happy (albeit hippy) trendy, floral design and plunging neckline. I thought it was the perfect top for July 4th even though it is not red, white, and blue. Despite the corny color coordination a lot of people enjoy on this holiday, this blouse has more benefits than you may think.

The loose and flowy design allows you to air out through the day. Additionally, you will be able to enjoy those burgers, hot dogs, and other heavy treats without worrying about any pooching as the fabric hangs freely. The low neckline is excellent for you singles or proud wives that like to show off the goods tastefully.

You can dress it up with long jeans or keep it light with a denim skirt or shorts. You can even add sexy jewelry that hangs down your chest. However, for a modest take, you can wear a crop top or tank underneath as well. I chose to keep it casual in this OOTD seeing as my wardrobe lately has not been very chill.

I hope you enjoyed this among many july 4th outfit ideas! I was injured in the making as new bites ensued but it was worth doing this shot for you all!

What are you wearing for the holiday?
